When you have to wear a stupid headset for 3+ hours at a time, and you really don’t want cauliflower ears …

Size: To fit a Logitech ClearChat Comfort USB headset, but I think most of the padded ear pieces are about the same size

Materials:

Knit Picks Andean Silk, much less than 1 skein

1 set of US #6/4.0 mm double pointed needles (set of 5)

Stitch marker (optional)

Polyfill (or whatever else you want to pad them with)

Tapestry needle

Gauge:  I didn’t bother checking as I was knitting and measuring as I went along ;)

Pattern:
CO 8 sts over 4 ndls; place marker (if desired) and join to begin working in the round, being careful not to twist.

K 1 round.

Increase round: Inc. in every st (16 sts).

Knit 3 rounds.

Repeat last 4 rounds twice more (16 sts on each ndl for a total of 64 sts).

Decrease round: K2tog to end (32 sts).

Knit 3 rounds.

BO all sts loosely.

Finishing:

Use some polyfill (or whatever) to stuff the covers.
When sewing in the ends, take this opportunity to “gather” the cover a little bit over the ear pads so that they stay on.
